Sun Glasses
Sun glasses are a form of protective eyewear that aids
in the prevention of damage to the wearers eyes caused by
the sun. Sun glasses will typical fit as a normal pair of
glasses for those with poor sight would, and feature tinted
lenses which reduce the glare of the sun. Sun glasses although
similar in fit and shape to a standard pair of glasses they
are often of a different style, such as the wraparound style,
or include larger lenses which further reduce the amount
of sunlight reaching the users eye.
When the sun is especially bright or strong then sunglasses
should be worn as exposure to strong sunlight can have and
extremely damaging effect on eyes having the potential to
cause cataracts amongst other ailments. This damage to the
tissue of the eye is usually irreversible so it is important
when choosing sun glasses to select a pair that have a high
level of UV protection, although one must take care not
to wear very dark sunglasses especially when driving as
this could affect your vision. Aside from their practical
use as protection for your eyes sun glasses have become
a popular fashion accessory, particularly the styles that
have been worn by fashionable celebrities. Sun glasses produced
by designer fashion companies can often sell for extremely
high prices.
